Young Sicilian talent, the classical guitarist Gabriele Imbesi, is already a winner of...

numerous national and international competitions, including Musicalmuseo in 2018, the 23rd Music Competition National team city of Barcelona P.G. in 2022 and the special “Universal Edition” prize of the competition Forum Gitarre Wien in 2022.
He graduated in 2019 from the Scarlatti Conservatory of Palermo with full marks, honors and honorable mention, under the guidance of Marco Cappelli.
He continued his studies at the Zuyd Hogeschool of Applied Sciences in Maastricht (The Netherlands), achieving, in 2021, the Biennial Master in Instrumental Performance under the guidance of Carlo Marchione with a thesis on the guitar transcription of Schumann’s Kinderszenen.
In the same years he perfected himself with internationally renowned guitarists including Oscar Ghiglia, in 2018, at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, and Lorenzo Micheli at the Livorno Music Festival 2021, where he won the scholarship as the best student of the masterclass. In 2023 the Master ends annual in Music performance and Interpretation at MARTHA – Music ART House Academy of Palermo, with the Masters Lorenzo Micheli, Jérémy Jouve and Gilbert Impérial.
His repertoire ranges from Renaissance music to contemporary music, with a
particular preference for the Baroque period.
To his credit he has numerous concerts, especially in the Sicilian territory. Since 2022 he has been part of the group Tetra Kordes with whom he regularly performs for Sicilian theaters and music festivals.
